Air Quality Management Systems & Ambient Air Monitoring
Dome has formed a partnership with the Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU) in the UAE. Dome has provided technical and logistic support on major projects for the evaluation of air quality and provision of Air Quality Management Systems for Abu Dhabi emirate. (www.nilu.no)
Environmental Noise Survey
Dome has been awarded the Dubai Environmental Noise Survey project by Dubai Municipality. The project includes an extensive noise survey to establish current noise levels and an assessment of future noise levels in the city.
Coastal Zone Monitoring Project
Project includes bathymetric & topographic survey, wave & current monitoring, remote video monitoring of the waterline, sediment sampling and analysis, website development. (www.dubaicoast.org)
Marine Environmental Impact Study
Study for a proposed site for a new power and desalination plant. Comparative assessment of potential impacts arising from different site orientations. Review of the design of the effluent system and identification of potential impacts on the marine ecology.
HSEIA Sulphur Handling Plant Expansion Study
Study for expansion of a sulphur handling facility receiving and processing fluid sulphur extracted from offshore fields. Reviewed design options and provided recommendations to minimize residual HSE impacts.
Air Quality Monitoring & Modeling Study
Assessment of the short and long term near and far field effects of emissions from the entire complex by a combination of modeling and monitoring.
HSE Management System Needs Assessment Report & HSE Management System Implementation Manual
Review of existing HSEMS and gap analysis against the requirements of the company. Recommendations on actions required to rectify deficiencies. Preparation of an integrated HSEMS Implementation Manual tailored to client’s needs and meeting third party requirements.
Environmental Risk Assessment and Compliance Auditing
Assessment and compliance audit covering all land, sea, facilities and performance in client’s concession area. The project addressed all operations, from drilling to tanker loading, and all related services. A remedial plan was recommended for aspects requiring further attention.
Noise Survey
Noise level and occupational exposure assessment for onshore and offshore facilities. Assessment of noise control methods and recommendations for further measures to reduce personnel noise exposure
Quantitative Risk Assessment Study
QRA Study for Hot Oil Heater and Regeneration Gas Heaters Modification Project to assess the justification for the proposed modifications.
Safety Audit
Audit of Oil Field, including Wells and Central Processing Facility.
Health, Safety & Environmental Audit
Evaluation and audit of safety, environmental protection and occupational health activities for plant, equipment & personnel.
Environmental Impact Assessment
EIA for an Independent Water & Power Project involving the rehabilitation and upgrading of the existing plant, the installation of new steam turbine and gas turbine generators, a capacity increase of the existing desalination units, and installation of new desalination units.
Marine Environmental Monitoring
Quarterly surveys to assess potential impacts of discharge water from a power & desalination plant on the marine environment. Surveys included identification of flora and fauna, seawater and sediment sampling and analysis, and video and photographic records.
Health, Safety and Environmental Impact Assessment for New Sewage Plant
Combined HSEIA covering Phases 1 & 2 of the Project in accordance with ADNOC guidelines.
Environmental Impact Assessment for Field Drilling Operations
EIA for exploratory drilling activities to identify the potential impacts and recommend the required mitigation measures.
Oil Spill Response Plan
Development of a comprehensive OSRP for offshore activities including identification of the potential spill risks, spill scenarios, environmental sensitivities and recommended spill prevention measures.
Educational Pack
On behalf of the sponsoring client, developed and designed a comprehensive educational pack in English and Arabic on waste management. The pack was entitled ‘Don’t Waste Our World’ and was distributed to schools and colleges throughout the UAE.
